I love short, simple worship choruses. We used to sing them way back in the 70's - there were tons of them written during the Jesus Movement of the late 60's and early 70's. I fear that so many of us worship leaders have traded simple, humble vertical worship for slick production and performance oriented music. While these things surely have their places, like on records and at concerts - I'm just not sure the Sunday worship time is it. And yes, I know that it all really boils down to the heart and I'm not here to pass judgement on anyone. But as a professional musician who has served since 1983 in many churches as a worship pastor & leader, I know first hand that most volunteer church musicians don't have the ability to play and sound like records or videos, nor should they - yet there seems to be a strong pressure in church culture for them to do so. I sure don't have all the answers (I wish I did!), but I would love to see a trend leading back to simple worship - just God's children singing love songs, scripturally sound praises & heart cries back to Him and to one another.
This album was actually originally going to be an EP of six or seven simple worship songs done in the style of the ones in this medley, but it seems the Lord had other plans. We're so blessed to have some of our friends singing along on this track!
lyrics
YOUR KINGDOM COME
(Nori Kelley)
Your kingdom come, Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Your kingdom come, Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
...Right here as it is in heaven, etc.
...Right now as it is in heaven, etc.
COME TO ME
(Nori Kelley)
Come to Me all who are weary
All who are weary, all who are weary
Come to Me all who are weary
And I will give you rest
Come to Me, My yoke is easy
My yoke is easy, My yoke is easy
Come to Me, My yoke is easy
And My burden's light
JESUS
(Nori Kelley)
Jesus, Jesus
You are my God
Jesus, Jesus
You are my God

"WIND, presenting passionate music with high-flying flute, guitar acrobatics and killer chorus sections, seem to have no
hard time proving they can win over even the average music listener."
