I used to listen often to the music of Keith Green. When his first album came out, I listened to it over and over - it touched me so deeply. When I started the lyrics to this song, for some reason I thought of him - his devotion, his passion for Jesus. This song is a cry of my heart...something I hope to attain to before I die. As the man John Wimber used to say, "I wanna grow up before I grow old!" The Bible verse referenced in verse 2 is Ephesians 2:10.
