I wrote this song sitting on my bed, listening to my college roommates talk in the other room. Earlier, I had given my life to God on a weekend retreat, and when I returned, my roommates and I didn't have much in common any more. It was one of the hardest times I had ever experienced, yet at the same time, I was happier than I had ever been in my life.

I can't take much credit for this song, it came out quickly. I would like to thank Madonna and Natalie Merchant for their vocal influences.
