Storm Prelude: (Nori) We wrote this as a sort of concert intro when we were playing as a band in Alabama - the band that recorded the Straight Line & Small Town Big God albums. We used to play it as an intro to Home To You, and it was so much fun!

Butterfly: (Barbie) What a fun song! I started this one while we were living in Japan (2004ish). I remember that Nori was at work teaching English lessons, so I called our pastors to sing it to them. They weren’t home, so I just sang it onto their answering machine (I was excited :0). We didn’t actually write the second verse and bridge until just before recording it.

When you realize why God has created you, it is so freeing! It is also very cool to see how He uses your gifts to bless those around you.

Influences? Remember watching “Friends?” The theme song was sung by The Rembrandts. This reminds me of that song. Nori says it reminds him a little of The Who. We had a blast recording this one w/ our friends, Jim Pollard and George Vinson, in Jim’s attic studio in the Nashville, TN area. It’s got that “Jim touch” on the end : 0 )
