I guess I'm a drummer wannabe because I've always "played the drums" on my lap or the steering wheel. Fred Ryan, the drummer in one of the early bands I was in, was always practicing rudiments with sticks on his legs - it seemed to me it was about all he ever did when he wasn't on his kit. He taught me what a paradiddle was all those years ago, as well as a double-paradiddle... so for some 40 years I've been playing them on the steering wheel if I wasn't tapping along with the car stereo!

I finally decided to incorporate double-paradiddles into a song, and that's how this one came to be. The album fades in with Andrew playing double-paradiddles on three overdubbed snare drum takes!
