(Barbie) As our children were transitioning into adulthood, a wise friend told me, "Life is full of adjustments." This song captures some of those adjustments. Her advice really helped me through that time. Thank you, Susan Harrell, for this advice and for so much more! I dedicate this song to you.

(Nori) Dan Fogelberg was one of the best songwriters in modern times, in my opinion... as I wrote the music and my contribution of lyrics to this song, I was thinking of him and striving for the kind of excellence in which Dan excelled.
