I wrote this song while we were right in the middle of our time of recording. Our good friend Thumper came over one day and I explained the idea to him. We sat down with bass and drums and after a few takes, the basic track was done! I contacted producer, engineer and Yes member Billy Sherwood about how to get an authentic Chris Squire bass sound - he wrote back within hours and I had my answer! Thanks, Billy - you rock!

As for the mid section, I've wondered for a long time what it would be like to do a descending chord progression like this - starting with Em and working all the way back to Em...I'm sure it's been done before...

You Yes fans know exactly where this influence came from!
